Job Summary

NL Health Services is seeking a full-time, permanent, fellowship-trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist to assume a full-time clinical practice at the Janeway Children’s Hospital in St. John’s, NL. The Janeway is a 71 bed, tertiary care referral hospital, and our province’s center for specialized pediatric care. The Pediatric Ophthalmology department has the support of Orthoptic services and on-site equipment: OCT, ultrasound, keratometer and RetCam. Fundus photography and visual field testing are available at the Health Sciences Centre in the same hospital complex.

The Janeway is also a teaching hospital, affiliated with the nearby Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (MUNL). As part of this role, the successful candidate will be involved in medical student and resident teaching. They will also have an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor with MUNL.
