NL Health Services Eastern zone is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) permanent fellowship trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist to assume a full-time clinical practice at the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, the province’s centre for specialized Pediatric care.
The Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre is a 71 bed, tertiary care referral hospital for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Janeway is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador and has a residency program in Pediatrics. As part of this role, the successful candidate will be involved in medical student and resident teaching. The successful candidate will also have an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Pediatric Ophthalmology department has the support of Orthoptic services and on site equipment: OCT, ultrasound, keratometer and RetCam. Fundus photography and visual field testing are available at the Health Sciences Centre in the same hospital complex.
