Job Summary
This opportunity allows you to work at a beautiful clinic in Saskatoon that is fully equipped with HVF, FDT, OCT, Forum including glaucoma workplace, Clarus Fundus photography, IOL Master 700, OPD. SLT/YAG laser on site. We have surgical counsellors that counsel both cataract and glaucoma patients in preparation for surgery. My practice has an assistant/scribe that assists with most of the paperwork.
As a successful candidate, you can perform cataract surgery, MIGS (istent infinite and istent inject W, XEN, Preserflo). Trabeculectomy, Ahmed, and Clearpath Shunts. There is good access to corneal patch grafts for surgery and excellent access to devices for glaucoma. I practice one day a week out of the hospital where there is a laser in my lane for LSL and access to 5 FU.
The practice is busy but can be tailored to allow a workflow appropriate to the candidate. I am looking for someone to cover for a minimum of 2 months. If there is interest, I can have the candidate work into my practice as early as December 2026 with a shared workflow until sometime in January 2026 where they would cover independently for as many months as they are wanting.
To be considered for this position, you must hold certification or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), be (or become) registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) and possess an active medical license in the province of Saskatchewan.
Two additional Ophthalmologists work in the office (a Medical Glaucoma Specialist and a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist). The environment is collegial, and the position would be well supported.
