Focus Medical Ancillary Inc. (FMA) is a nine-plus Ophthalmologist comprehensive practice with an emphasis on Glaucoma and Cataract.
FMA has an immediate need for a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to practice at our clinics in Ottawa. Qualified applicants will hold an MD degree and must be eligible to work in Canada as an MD. Successful candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and preference will be given to applicants who have specialty certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or the American Board of Specialties.
FMA is committed to an efficiency-based approach, supported by an abundance of diagnostic equipment including but not limited to: A-scan, IOL Master, Atlas, LipiView, Pentacam AXL, OCTs, VFs with Forum Glaucoma Workspace, Clarus, Verion, ORA, and Aberrometry. YAG lasers are also available on-site to support LPI and SLT procedures. The practice features an advanced EMR system, well-trained technicians (1:1 ratio with MDs), and three (3) operating rooms.
Opened in 2019, FMA includes both an Associate Practice and two SurgiCentres, allowing our Associate Ophthalmologists to perform both Private and OHIP-eligible Cataract surgeries. FMA will work with the successful candidate(s) to provide a positive environment with flexibility of schedule and the opportunity for a patient-centric approach to care.
FMA requires coverage for a short-term locum, and also a part-time and/or full-time position(s).
