Position Description
The McGill University Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, invites applications for a full-time Contract Academic Staff position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical). The professorial rank will be determined according to the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. This will be a three-year, renewable appointment and does not confer eligibility for tenure.
The successful candidate will be appointed to clinical practice at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH)—a member facility of the CIUSSS-West-Central Montreal and a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.
The Department seeks a highly motivated academic ophthalmologist with advanced subspecialty expertise in glaucoma and complex anterior segment disease. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence through clinical care, teaching, research, innovation, and scholarly activity.
