The Division of Ophthalmology, in conjunction with the Department of Surgery for the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, is seeking 1-2 ophthalmologists to join our team in beautiful St. John’s, NL.

One day per week of local anesthetic operating time is allocated per ophthalmologist in publicly funded private operating rooms for cataract surgeries. One half day per week is allocated in the NLHS Eye Clinic for minor procedures, lasers, and injections. Call is shared equally amongst all division members (would be 1/6 weekdays, 1/8 weekends). While sub-specialty expertise would be an asset, any comprehensive ophthalmologist or other sub-specialty is welcome. Affiliation with Memorial University of Newfoundland medical school is available. Establishing an outpatient private office is required, though some local clinics may have space to share if desired.
