2012 COS Celebration

You won't want to miss this year's COS Celebration at the Design Exchange (DX) on Thursday June 28. Join us on the trading floor of Toronto's former Stock Exchange for a gourmet meal and an evening of the extraordinary, where anything is possible, thanks to Zero Gravity Circus.

The DX is Toronto's historic first Stock Exchange, revered as an architectural marvel, with art-deco details, including eight Charles Comfort murals (see image at right). Currently, DX is Canada's design centre and museum with a mission to promote the value of design. COS Celebration guests will have exclusive access to the gallery, featuring a photography exhibit by Lynne Cohen, first recipient of the Scotiabank Photography Award, Canada's largest contemporary photography award for an established Canadian artist.

The Design Exchange

It all happens on Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., in the Design Exchange, 234 Bay Street, Toronto, just a short walk from the Westin Harbour Castle. SEE MAP

Art deco mural by Charles Comfort is one of several designed for the original Toronto Stock Exchange building on Bay St. Now restored, the building houses the Design Exchange, "an internationally recognized non-profit educational organization committed to promoting greater awareness of design as well as the indispensable role it plays in fostering economic growth and cultural vitality."
