Report – Vision Standards Committee for Driving
By Duncan Anderson, Chair

The Vision Standards Committee for Driving met in Vancouver in June 2004 to consider a number of clarifications to the recommendations made to the Canadian Medical Association three years ago. A number of amendments to the vision standards will be brought forward for consideration in November in Ottawa at a meeting of the Canadian Council for Motor Transport Administrators, a body made up of medical directors of transport from the provinces and territories. Any changes made are usually the purview of this group and are usually reflected in driving standards across Canada.
