CNIB Study on Low Vision

The COS, represented by Mary Lou Jackson of Victoria, B.C, participated in a CNIB study on low vision this past summer. The study was the result of a collaboration of seniors aged 60 to 81 years, eye care professionals (ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians), and vision rehabilitation practitioners such as ophthalmic nurses and technicians. This study was funded by a government of Canada grant and a report will be available through the CNIB. The COS has made a commitment to develop more programs in this particular area.
