Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology

This past year saw a marked increase in the number of manuscripts published in the CJO. In addition, the CJO published the inaugural “current concept” issue dedicated entirely to a single topic. The issue featured invited papers on ocular melanoma and was published in June 2004. This concept will be followed in June 2005 with invited articles on macular degeneration. Sanjay Sharma, of Kingston and a member of the Editorial Board, has agreed to be the Editor of this special issue.

Miguel Burnier also presented the first CJO Lecture at the Vancouver Annual meeting. This presentation on ocular melanoma coincided with the release of the current concept issue of the CJO on the same topic. The CJO Lecture will become a regular feature at the annual meeting.
