Do You Qualify for Life Membership?

The current by-laws state that any active member who has been a member in good standing for the past 25 years may apply for life membership. This definition will be presented for amendment at the Edmonton Annual Meeting to include the additional requirement of “65 years of age or retirement from practice.” Anyone meeting the current definition should contact the COS office in writing as soon as possible to take advantage of the fee reduction for 2005. Anyone having paid the full $500 active membership fee will receive a refund of 50% once their application has been received and processed.
