COS
has received an educational grant of $100,000 from Pfizer
Canada Inc. for the development of a national glaucoma
awareness campaign. The first phase of the project includes
a public poll to determine the general public’s
awareness and attitudes about glaucoma. This will be
followed by a media campaign with a spring 2005 launch.
This is a new initiative from COS intended to increase
the public’s knowledge about this disease, often
referred to as the “thief in the night.”
