Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist to join a dynamic and collaborative team of six Ophthalmologists. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical education, and contributing to innovative clinical research in ophthalmology.<\/p>\n
About Health Sciences North: HSN is the largest hospital in Northern Ontario and serves as the tertiary care referral center for over 600,000 residents across a vast geographic region. Our Ophthalmology and Surgical Programs are supported by an integrated team of anesthesiologists, internists, intensivists, perioperative nurses, and allied health professionals, all working together to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. <\/p>\n
Position Highlights:
\n– Access to OR and surgical volume
\n– Equal participation in the Ophthalmology on-call rotation
\n– Active involvement in teaching and mentorship through our academic affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM-U)
\n– Opportunities to engage in clinical research through the Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI)<\/p>\n
Qualifications:
\n– Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
\n– Certification in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent
\n– Eligibility for a faculty appointment with NOSM-U<\/p>\n
