Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe various applications of radiation therapy for neuro-ophthalmic disorders.
  • Discuss the implications of our interventions with regards to potentially causing blindness inadvertently.
  • Review clinical parameters that best predict visual outcome in patients with anterior visual pathway lesions.
  • Discuss how chiasmal lesions may influence the retinotopic organization of the visual cortex.
  • Identify the pertinent features of Terson's syndrome within the context of a unique case.
  • Identify emergency neuro-ophthalmic presentations of importance to the comprehensive ophthalmologist.
