Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the prevalence and significance of this glaucoma and its relative morbidity compared to idiopathic open-angle glaucoma.
  • Assess the current understanding of the underlying pathophysiology of pseudexfoliation and its effects on the eye and other organ systems.
  • Describe the special considerations required regarding cataract surgery in an eye with pseudoexfoliation syndrome and glaucoma.
