On behalf of the Canadian Retina Society and the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, we would like to invite you to the 2nd Annual Canadian Retina Society Meeting to be held in Whistler, British Columbia from February 13 to 16, 2014. Last year's inaugural meeting was a huge success. We are striving to make this meeting the premier educational event for Canadian retina specialists.

The meeting for 2014 will have an excellent balance of both medical and surgical topics. This year's schedule will allow you to optimize both your learning and adventure experiences - all in the spectacular setting of North America's finest mountain resort.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the results of AREDS2 and how these results will impact the eye care of your patients.
  • Become knowledgeable about the newest retinal surgical techniques including stem cell and gene therapy for macular disease.
  • Learn a new classification system for retina-vitreous interface disease and how it relates to common retinal diseases.
  • Be up to date regarding the treatment of posterior uveitis.
  • Review the potential benefits of new imaging techniques in the care of patients with retinal disease.
